4 Reasons To Use A Home Buying Real Estate Agent

Are you In the market to purchase a home? If so, you may think that you can do this job all on your own without the help of a realtor. However, there are a few reasons why using a realtor is worth it.

They Are Free To Use

Know that using a real estate agent to buy a home is not going to cost you a thing. The commission that a real estate agent makes comes from splitting what the seller's agent receives from the owner of the home. If you do not use a real estate agent to buy a home you will not get that commission money for yourself. Instead, the seller's agent gets to keep the whole commission. When you look at it from that perspective, there is no reason to not use an agent to buy a home if money is a concern.

They Arrange Showings

Do you think you can get by just by looking at listings online and going to open houses on the weekends? Know that you are missing out on a lot of homes that never have an open house. That's where your realtor comes in to help since they will arrange showings with the seller's agent so that you can view the home privately. You won't be able to easily set up these showings if you do not work with an agent.

They Have Access To Pocket Listings

All homes for sale are not always listed on real estate websites for you to find on your home. There is a thing known as a pocket listing, which is when a seller wants to quietly put their home on the market by not listing it on the MLS. This limits access to the listing to other real estate agents, which is often done to see what kind of interest the home gets and what people like and don't like about the home before its formally listed. By working with a real estate agent, you will have access to these pocket listings and be able to see homes before they are publicly listed for sale.

They Help Negotiate The Sales Price

When you do find a home you like, a real estate agent is going to help you negotiate with the seller to determine the final price of the home. By working with an agent with experience, you'll hopefully avoid overpaying for a home and use a good strategy to get the seller to come down in price.
